If someone was in the /news subreddit and commented "Yeah but what about nudity in Diablo though, good or bad? Discuss." that would be incredibly bizarre and tone deaf of course.Īgain, I'm not criticizing the post or deny people's right to discuss this topic. That's why I felt like it was an odd thing to come to a forum specifically dedicated to Diablo and point out that people discussing an aspect of the game as unusual. Some people just want to take a break from all the doom and gloom and kill some demons and talk about their favorite game. A lot of the world sucks right now between Putin's catastrophically damaging temper tantrum, the economy taking a fat shit, etc. In a general sense, I see people diving into escapist things like games/tv/etc. If you touch a hot surface and get burned you'll most likely pull away from it. One of the primary purposes of video games is to allow someone to take a break from reality, which is often shitty nowadays.
